Siembra, a Spanish word meaning planting seeds, is an innovative “World-Beat” band that plays a blend of R&B and Afro-Caribbean Rhythms and melodies. The music of Siembra is an assortment of bright melodies, swirled into rich latin beats. The tone is buoyant. The vibrant musicianship allows the music to soar.
Siembra has toured the United States with the Reggae legend, Toots and the Maytalls as well as a tour of the United States with Jazz great, Wynton Marsalis, as part of the Kool Jazz Festival.
Throughout the decades, Siembra has maintained the same musical intensity that launched them. The band has gained honors with their music, having penned "Come Share My Love", which was remade by the band Cintron, on their grammy nominated album “Absolutely”. Siembra was invited to play in New York City at Sound of Brazil and Sweetwaters, as well as to play a concert for the King of Nigeria.
Siembra continues to offer up a versatile pallet of music. Incorporating latin, jazz, funk, R&B and Pop musical styles expertly blended to produce a delightful entertainment experience.
